November Kit Cards by Marina Khong

Hello everyone! It's December again! Oh my time flies! Here are my last projects for the month using Studio Calico's November kits: Sock Hop and Bobby Socks.

First I have a simple Thank You 6" x 6" card combining kraft and blue with a touch of soft pink, all from main kit Sock Hop. Flowers were cut using Sizzix Eclips.

 Next I have a more cheerful project; a Birthday 6" x 6" card using add-on kit Bobby Socks. The flag lines were manually cut, layered and adhered with foam dots.

November Kit Projects by Marina Khong

Hello crafty people! Marina here :) I'm back again and I have two new projects to share. I'm thrilled with this month's kits as the colors are so fresh and bright and I just love the little clear stamps and fun brads! Can't wait to use them all! :)

On to my projects... I'm starting with Bobby Socks, November's #1 add on kit. Get the kit here :)

 First is a fresh and simple birthday card, love how the patterns in the kit complement each other so well, and that red tag is just delicious :)

Fresh and cheery?

(Cardstock, stamp, seam binding and twine not from kit)

This kit came with a pack of awesome fun brads too!

 

For the second project, I used the remaining papers to create a shabby card. I love being able to create different themes from the same papers. Here I altered a Tim Holtz tag using the leftover papers from the card.

Love the background paper - October Afternoon's Ring Toss from the kit and Heidi Swapp Black and White Alpha (cardstock, lace, brads, pearls and fabric rose not from kit).

That's my first post for Studio Calico's Bobby Socks... I have more to come... now I'll be off for a mini vacation with the hubs next week so you'll only hear from me next weekend. I need to find myself some fresh new inspiration and perhaps some travel photos for a layout or mini album, stay tuned ;)

Hello scrappers, Happy Mother's Day! I hope everyone is having a good time today. I'm here to share a layout from the May Main Kit, Lawn Party. I love mister huey mists too! The calico white is my fav!

For this layour, i misted the background with two different colours with only a hint of white! I love how it turns out. Again i am still playing with plenty of white space. I think the photo of my son stands out even more against the background and embellishment.

Do get your kit soon! Trust me, you will love it and scrapping has never been the same! :)

Altered Sketch Journal

It's amazing what studio calico kit can do. Apart from making layouts and cards it can also be used for altered items. Today i'm sharing with you a simple one. I bought one of these sketch book at the local bookshop and proceed to alter it.

Since i would be using it for sketches i kept the front cover simple and flat so that it's easier to draw on the  inside pages. I hope you'll try using your kit for other altered project and share it with us on facebook!

'Expense Folder' by Amelia Khalik

Happy sunday everyone! I'm back again with another posting. This time i wanted to create something that i could use for my daily routine. Knowing that i am terrible with my own expense filing i decided to do a folder for myself. Now everytime i get my receipt i will have a place to store them before i could actually write it down in a book or in my excel files.

You can have something like this too. It's easy to assemble. I have a lot of pockets to slot in the receipts and vouchers. I did added the stick it post note in case i wanted to jot down or scribble to do notes for later.

'Who's That Girl' Layout by Amelia Khalik

Happy sunday all!!! I guess most of us are relaxing at home. I'm planning to have a laid back day today. No rush, no headache. Sharing with you another layout using the main kit Candy Shoppe together with Licorice Twist and Jaw Breaker add on's.

Since i'm scrapping a photo of moi, i decided to play with neutral colours. Misted the background and layers the papers and embellishment. I hope you like what you see. Dont forget to get yours now before it all sold out! Have a good day. :)

Hi all. I hope you girls are doing great. After the long holidays and plenty of photo snapping session i'm sure most of you cant wait to scrap that precious moment! And what more great way than to get yourself a kit to play with!

I heart this month kit 'Candy Shoppe'. So much goodies and colours in one kit i just cant have enough! I feel like a kid in a candy store, spoilt for choices and i just dont know which to choose from! lol. Okay finally i settled for this colour combo for my layout. The colours itself is breath takingly beautiful.

I'm not a fan of ribbons and most of the time i got stumped on using it on my layout, but the yellow ribbon is too beautiful to pass. I decided to do a bit of stitching in the middle and twist it around to form a flower. Yeeayyy that's more like me!

Weekly Challenge

Hello everyone. Here i am with my first posting for scrappin studio! First and foremost i am truly excited to be here and secondly i am so in love with studio calico kit!!! You cant imagine my excitement upon receiving my Jan kit!! I swear i had sleepless night thinking about it. lol. So here's a layout that i hope will not dissapoint you! hehehe.

I decided not to play safe with my usual colour preferance, at first i was sceptical and nervous looking at the yellows. Pssttt..i'll tell u a secret, i'm terrible with brights! Yeah most of the times i'll have sweaty palms looking at them but i thought to myself, how boring can i be? I need to have more fun playing with colours and so..here it is. My all time 'Yellow'..lol.

A bit of scrappy info, i layer my papers to get 3 different tone of yellow. adding a lot of distress ink to the edges to highlight the layering. Everything in this page comes from the kit. Infact i was using all of the embellish supplied and add nothing of my own except for a bit of Ice Stickles, perfect pearl and glossy accents. The Punky Sprout Lil Blooms comes in natural canvas, so i thought why leave it looking bare? A bit of ink and glitter and voila! I'm loving my blooms! thehehe.
