Weekly Challenge

Hey peeps! It's that time again for a weekly challenge. This time round, it's gonna be a fun one. The challenge is to create a layout using a busy background paper.

Photobucket
I adore this this background paper very much. It's a Studio Calico paper and it's collaborated with Sassafrass Lass. This layout was created using the Oct kit: Field Guide

Weekly Challenge : "Recipe"

Hey peeps! It's that time again for a weekly challenge. This time round, it's gonna be a recipe challenge. I was thinking of a challenge for myself and it's neat if you can join in and play along too :)

Here's the recipe challenge:
You will have to create a layout with these elements...

1. Only 2 patterned papers
(you can use the double-sided ones, that makes 4 pattern already)

2. One handmade flower

3. 2 butterflies

4. Twine

5. White space
(super neat & clean layout. lol)

Let's go up one more notch...
Strictly NO inking (that includes no stamping) or misting (trust me... my hands were itching. lol)

The only free flow products you can go is cardstock, embellies and alphas :)

Photobucket
Here is my take! It wasn't easy to do something that is not norm but I managed to breakthru it. If I can do it, you can too. Lol! This layout was created using the August SC Main kit called "Boardwalk". I was all excited because the main colors in this awesome kit are green... woots!!

Weekly Challenge

Hi everyone!

This is Iris again and I am hosting the challenge for this week. I have always thought that pictures that tell a story should be scrapped no matter what the quality. This layout of mine shows a series of photos that are grainy but tell a very special story. I converted the images to black and white and printed it in smaller sizes to hide the flaws of the picture. This page is now one of my favorites because it tells of a cute and special moment when my two year old was trying desperately to copy her Dad's acrobatic moves:)

Try taking out those not so perfect photos and tell your story...

I look forward to your creations!

Hugs!

WEEKLY CHALLENGE

Hey peeps, this week challenge is quite simple. I hope more people can come join in the fun for this week. Just pull out 3 to 4 of your favorite stamps. Use them to be your main focus of your page or create a story with the stamps. Easy peasy right...what's more? You can still win RM20 Gift Voucher from Scrappin Studio.

Here is my inspiration of using Studio Calico stamps. You don't have to use all Studio Calico stamps, you can use any of your favorite stamps. I just love to show you my collection of SC stamps ;)

Can you guess how many stamps I have used in this layout (lol). I am hoping to see more of your creation. Some close-up shots...

Link your creation with our new linky. It is our first time using inlinkz. If you face any difficulty linking your work, please contact us as soon as possible. Thank you for your patient.

Weekly Challenge by AK

Are you ready for the weekly challenge? I have here something that i, myself hardly create but i wanted to try and see if i am able to play with this space. The challenge is to create a layout size 8.5 x 11. It's interesting to know that there's so much you could actually do with limited space.

My photo is quite big, the size is almost 4R and yet i could still have a banner, stamping and chipboard flowers on the page. I used the banner as the title of my lo, that is 2005! The year that photo is taken.

Come and play with us and win RM20 voucher. This challenge ends on 26th May 2011. Kindly link your creation at the comment section below. I would love to see your take on the challenge, come play and have fun too!

Till next time, take care!

Weekly Challenge : "Photo Inspiration"

I came across this photo on the net while thinking about Japan. Immediately, I got inspired to create a layout. I love the yellow kimono and what got me inspired was the wrap around the waist - the belt. The colors on the kimono was perfect for the kit too! Hence I got out the SC April kit - Singin' In the Rain out and started to assemble the pieces.

Here's my interpretation:

Do drop by my blog for close-up shots :)

The Challenge:
To create a layout that has a wrapping element.
Use the photo as your inspiration and leave us a post link here with your completed layout.

The challenge will start from: 18 April - 2 May 2011 (12am Malaysian time)
A winner will of course get to win RM20 Scrappin Studio Gift Voucher.

Wait no more and start to create!!

Weekly Challenge

Hello everyone. Here i am with my first posting for scrappin studio! First and foremost i am truly excited to be here and secondly i am so in love with studio calico kit!!! You cant imagine my excitement upon receiving my Jan kit!! I swear i had sleepless night thinking about it. lol. So here's a layout that i hope will not dissapoint you! hehehe.

I decided not to play safe with my usual colour preferance, at first i was sceptical and nervous looking at the yellows. Pssttt..i'll tell u a secret, i'm terrible with brights! Yeah most of the times i'll have sweaty palms looking at them but i thought to myself, how boring can i be? I need to have more fun playing with colours and so..here it is. My all time 'Yellow'..lol.

A bit of scrappy info, i layer my papers to get 3 different tone of yellow. adding a lot of distress ink to the edges to highlight the layering. Everything in this page comes from the kit. Infact i was using all of the embellish supplied and add nothing of my own except for a bit of Ice Stickles, perfect pearl and glossy accents. The Punky Sprout Lil Blooms comes in natural canvas, so i thought why leave it looking bare? A bit of ink and glitter and voila! I'm loving my blooms! thehehe.

Now for the fun part, for this week challenge (10/01/2011) please input flowers into your layout. Yes it is that easy. Post your link in the linky below by next Sunday and get a chance to win RM10 Scrappin Studio Gift Voucher.
So if you have not take a peek at the the kit please do so here. You'll be amazed at what the other designers have in store for you. I'll be seeing you soon. Have a great week..:)
